Fellside - information for parents/carers

Fellside Residential Visit – documents to complete and return by Monday 15 May 2017

 

We have now sent home two documents that need to be completed and returned to us by Monday 15 May 2017.  If you have any questions or need help to complete the forms you can bring them along to the Fellside meeting at 3.05pm on Monday 15 May and we will be happy to help with any queries.

 

-        Cumbria Outdoors parental consent form and

-        NCC educational visits Form SV5 – parental consent form

 

An activity programme is also attached for your information 

 

Equipment and Clothing

We would ask that the children travel as light as possible but don’t forget to pack

 

  • a pair of wellies, a pair of indoor shoes and a pair of trainer type/or suitable for outdoor footwear – this will be the shoes they arrive at school with!
  • Packed lunch for first day (please remember that we are a nut free school)
  • A named water bottle – which can be reused throughout the visit
  • Waterproof coat
  • Appropriate clothing (long sleeves/short sleeves/hoody/jackets etc)
  • Lightweight clothing for the ghyll scrambling – shorts/t-shirts (the children will get wet/dirty during this activity and during canoe rafting)
  • Sleepwear
  • Sun hat/sun cream
  • Black bin bag or similar for any wet clothes!
  • Wash bag (shampoo/shower gel/soap for face/toothbrush/toothpaste/bobbles/brush)
  • Towel
  • Medication
  • £5 in named purse/wallet in school on Monday 22 May
  • Reading book/writing book/pencils
  • Teddy

 

Children should not bring the following

  • Mobile phone
  • Electricals such as ipads/cameras
  • sweets/snacks

 

We will talk about the activity programme and clothing required at our meeting on 15 May 2017 and will answer any questions you may have at that time.
