Fundraising EGGstravaganza - 18 March 2016

18th March 2016

Friday 18 March 2016 – Fund Raising ‘EGGstravaganza’ for

Sport Relief and the British Heart Foundation

We have a full day of activities planned for Friday 18 March when I hope you will be able to help us raise funds for Sport Relief and also for the British Heart Foundation.  Events are detailed below:

Sport Relief - £1 donation

Non-Uniform Day and sports themed egg decoration activity

Sport Relief - for a £1 donation - the children are invited to come to school dressed in their sports gear (or something red).  The children will also take part in a sports themed egg decoration activity.

The children will need to bring in two hard boiled eggs (in case one cracks!) and any extra trimmings they might need to decorate their egg.

There will be a small prize for the best decorated egg in each class.

British Heart Foundation – Skip to the Beat - sponsorship event

The British Heart Foundation has given us some skipping ropes to take part in a sponsored fundraising event.  All the children will be involved in a 5 hour non-stop skipping (Y1-Y4) and dancing (Nursery/Reception) session from 9.30am to 2.30pm.  The children will work in class/small groups throughout the day to ensure the skipping/dancing is continuous!

A sponsor form is attached (one sponsorship form per family – sent home with your oldest child in school).  Completed sponsor forms and monies raised will need to be handed into school by Monday 21 March … or if you would prefer please just make a donation and return it with the sponsor form.  By returning a completed sponsor form BHF are able to claim back tax.

I do hope you will be able to help us support these two very worthy charities.  I know the children will enjoy taking part in the activities and we will take time during the day to explain why we want to help those who are less fortunate than ourselves and organisations that carry out life-saving work.
