Hey Piggy Piggy - Y1 & Y2 - show at QEHS

7th July 2017

Dear Parents and Carers

Year 1 and Year 2 – Hey Piggy Piggy – QEHS on Friday 7 July 2017

Years 1 and 2 will travel to the Queen Elizabeth High School, Hexham on the afternoon on Friday 7 July 2017 to watch ‘Hey Piggy Piggy!’.  This is a fun show for KS1 children about money, materials and warm homes, with animation, live music and action.  It is a free show, commissioned and funded by the National Energy Action charity.  Created by Théâtre Sans Frontières and 4 Corners Music Network, Hey Piggy Piggy explores the issues of fuel poverty in a child-friendly way, about entitlement to health and a warm house to live in.

We will be travelling to QEHS by coach.  We will leave school after lunch and will be back in school for you to pick up the children at the usual time of 3.00pm.

Contribution

Théâtre Sans Frontières kindly contribute £25 towards our transport costs for this visit.  In order for the visit to go ahead we need to ask parents/carers to pay a contribution to cover the remainder of the coach travel.  The cost of the visit will be £1.65 per child.  Payment can be made in cash or by cheque (cheques should be made payable to NCC – please mark your child’s name and Hey Piggy Piggy on the back of your cheque).  Please return the attached reply slip with your payment by Monday 3 July.
