Stay and Play!

Another wonderful stay and play today and the sun even made an appearance! We made slime, (when we mastered the recipe!) We made ice-cream - some of it on the slightly salty side but hey ho, good fun! We even had our very own erupting volcanoes. I'm sure we all sleep tonight after resting over the long sunny bank holiday weekend. Thank you again for all of your wonderful positive comments we really do appreciate your support.
Thank you for coming to our stay and play where we enjoyed sharing how we use stories and phonics both indoors and outside. We loved going on a bear hunt outside and making our own gruffalo in the play-dough. We played with the letter sounds in the sand and water trays and loved making our own games, using what we already know. Take a look at the pictures below to get a flavour of how successful the session was!
On Friday 1st of December, we held a successful decorations day. It was so lovely to see so many parents and grandparents working with our lovely children. There was a truly festive feel throughout the morning and was certainly a fitting start to the Christmas build up. The decorations look great and will be used to decorate our classroom before coming home to you in the days leading up to Christmas. Thank you again for all of your support, the feedback from the session has been so lovely to read!
A sample of the wonderful feedback from our decorations day! We value everything you tell us and aim to act on any suggestions quickly.

On Tuesday we held our EYFS stay and play session with a focus on Harvest and Autumn. Activities included bread making and tasting, writing harvest prayers and making bird feeders with cereal. We had so much fun and enjoyed spending time with the children and their families.
We hope you agree that the children were in fine voice as we sang our harvest songs, and they showed the utmost respect as we shared a harvest prayer at the end.

Thank you so much for coming and supporting The People's Kitchen. I hope you managed to find out a little about your child's progress in school. If you ever need any further information about your child, keep checking Tapestry and remember you can always speak to a member of staff at any time.
