Tennis for Kids Programme - Years 3 and 4

20th April 2016

TENNIS FOR KIDS - CORBRIDGE TENNIS CLUB

Dear Parents and Carers

We are delighted to invite your school to be part of the historic Great Britain Davis Cup winning team’s Tennis for Kids programme.

In December last year, Andy Murray led Great Britain to become World tennis champions for the first time in 79 years and now we want to help get thousands of children involved in tennis.

What’s Tennis For Kids?

We’re working with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) to introduce more than 10,000 new children nationally to the sport by giving them FREE COACHING and a FREE TENNIS RACKET.

Beginning on Saturday 14 May 2016 we will be running a 6-week course led by an LTA accredited coach for 8 children in Y3 or Y4 at Corbridge Tennis Club between 10.00 – 11.00am.  Every child that successfully completes the free course will be given his or her own tennis racket.

Be part of the Team

We really appreciate your school’s support for the programme and encouraging the children to give tennis a go – it is a fantastic lifelong family sport, whether they’re 3 or 83.

I am very happy to discuss the programme further with you but in the meantime I should be grateful if you would complete the permission slip and return it to school no later than Wednesday 20 April 2016.

If we have more than eight applications the names will be drawn in the presence of the head teacher. You never know but we might discover a future Wimbledon champion!

 Yours sincerely,

Alan Hodgson
