Y1 - North Shields Lifeboat Station & Blyth Beach visit

30th June 2016

Y1 Visit to North Shields Lifeboat Station & Blyth Beach

Thursday 30 June 2016

As part of our seaside topic this half term we would like to extend the children’s learning through a trip to North Shields Lifeboat Station and Blyth Beach.  We will be learning about safety in the coastal environment and looking at the physical and human features of the seaside.

The visit will take place on Thursday 30 June.   We will leave school at 9.00am, returning by 3.00pm.

Clothing

The children can wear suitable clothes of their own but will need to bring wellington boots, a waterproof jacket, sun cream, sun hat and water bottle (preparation for all weathers!).

Contribution

In order for the visit to go ahead we need to ask parents/carers to pay a contribution to cover the cost of the coach travel.  The cost of the visit will be £10.00.  Payment can be made in cash or by cheque (cheques should be made payable to NCC – please mark your child’s name and BEACH on the back of the cheque).

Lunch and Water Bottles

All children will require a packed lunch.  If your child normally has a school meal and would like a school packed lunch to be provided please indicate this on the slip below.  Please also ensure that your child has a refillable water bottle to take on the visit.

Please return the permission slip on the attached letter along with your payment no later than Friday 24 June 2016.
