Nursery and Reception - visit to Kirkley Hall Zoo

21st June 2017

Nursery and Reception Visit to Kirkley Hall Zoo – 21 June 2017

Nursery and Reception children will visit Kirkley Hall Zoo on Wednesday 21 June 2017.

Children should be brought to school at the usual time.  This will be a full day’s visit.  The children will be back in school ready to be collected at 3.00pm.   We will be travelling by coach.

Clothing and Footwear

Children will need to be in suitable clothes for the visit – they must wear their school polo shirt, school jumper and their own choice of trousers/shorts/skirts/leggings.  They will also need a rain jacket, sun hat and comfortable shoes that are suitable for walking in or wellington boots.  Please also make sure your child has sun cream applied before coming to school.

Lunch and Water Bottles

All children will require a packed lunch.  If your child normally has a school meal and would like a school packed lunch to be provided please indicate this on the attached reply slip (no cost as entitled to lunch under Universal Free School Meal Scheme).  Please also ensure that your child has a refillable water bottle to take on the visit.

Contribution

In order for the visit to go ahead we need to ask parents/carers to pay a contribution to cover the cost of entry to the zoo and the coach travel.  The cost of the visit will be £9.80

Payment can be made in cash or by cheque (cheques should be made payable to NCC – please mark your child’s name and Kirkley Hall Zoo on the back of your cheque).

Parent Helpers

We are looking for a small number of parent helpers to accompany us on the visit.  Please indicate on the attached slip if you are able to help – we will take offers of help on a first come/first served basis.

The attached permission slip and payment should be returned no later than Friday 16 June.  Thank you.
